The annual Art, Essay, and Oratory Contests for 4th-12th grade students hosted by Gallatin Valley Right to Life!

Students in grades 4-12 are invited to showcase their talent and passion for the pro-life movement through oratory, art, and essay submissions. This is an excellent opportunity to engage with the community, express your views, and contribute to the discussion on the sanctity of life.
Contest Categories:
1. Oratory: Deliver a speech advocating for the protection of life from conception to natural death. You may choose any pro-life topic for your theme. Whether through persuasion, explanation of facts, personal stories, etc., your oration should inspire, educate, and motivate others to join the pro-life cause. 3-5 minute speech
2. Art: Create an original piece of art (painting, drawing, etc.) that visually communicates the beauty and significance of every human life. Let your creativity and imagination shine as you depict the value of life in your artwork. 2-D, any medium.
3. Essay: Craft a compelling essay discussing a pro-life theme of your choice. Use your writing skills to articulate the impact of respecting and defending life in today's society. Whether it's a personal reflection, a persuasive argument, or a research-based analysis, your essay should powerfully convey the pro-life message. 500-1000 words
Submission Guidelines:
Each participant may submit entries in more than one category if desired.
Oratory: Live speech (3-5 minutes in length) from memory, notecards, written, etc. No on-screen presentations
Art: Photograph your artwork and submit it digitally (in .jpeg or .png format).
Essay: Submit your essay as a typed document (in .doc or .pdf format), with a word count of 500-1000 words.

10th-12th Grade:
1st place $200
2nd place $150
3rd place $100
7th-9th Grade:
1st place $150
2nd place $100
3rd place $75
4th-6th Grade:
1st place $100
2nd place $75
3rd place $50
Submission Deadline:
All entries must be submitted before the event to be considered for the contest. The art and essay submissions and oratory applications are due April 18th; the Oratory Contest and Awards Ceremony is Saturday, May 3rd.
